A LIVING ARCHIVE

ONE
FILIPINO
TABLE

Many kitchens. Many stories. One community.

Preserving the stories of Filipino restaurant founders outside the Philippines — their roots, courage, food, journeys and the communities they build far from home.

WHY WE EXIST

Behind every restaurant is more than a menu.

There is a person or family who left home, began again somewhere else, and had the courage to build something of their own. One Filipino Table exists to listen to those beginnings and preserve them — in the founders' own words — for the communities they serve and the generations that follow.

“We document. We don't rank.”
01

Courage

The leap from an idea to a business, and the people willing to take it.

02

Roots

The places, families, recipes and memories carried from the Philippines.

03

Hospitality

Kumain ka na ba? Food as welcome, care and an invitation to the table.

04

Community

Helping people discover, support and connect Filipino restaurants around the world.

THE ONE FILIPINO TABLE ARCHIVE

Every story has a permanent place at the table.

Each documented restaurant receives an OFT story number. The archive preserves founder interviews, portraits, restaurant history, food memories and — when families choose to share them — photographs and historical materials.

A restaurant may grow, move, change hands or someday close. The history of what its founders built still matters.

THE BEGINNING

HOSPITALITY

Kumain ka na ba?

Have you eaten?

A familiar Filipino question that means more than food: welcome, sit down, let us take care of you.

FOOD AS MEMORY

Ano'ng ulam?

What's for dinner?

A question that takes us back to family kitchens, meaningful dishes and the flavors that still feel like home.

THE GOOD PLATE

Not an award. A marker of preservation.

The Good Plate recognizes that a founder's story has become part of the One Filipino Table Archive. It carries the story number, founder names and restaurant information, with a future QR link to the permanent archive record.

It does not say “best restaurant.” It says: this story was worth preserving.

Whenever our travels take us somewhere new, we ask:

Whose story can we preserve while we're here?

JOIN THE TABLE

Are you a Filipino restaurant founder with a story to preserve?

We would be honored to listen. One Filipino Table begins in Tennessee and is built to travel wherever Filipino restaurateurs have planted roots.
